Day 1: Depart from Athens and travel through the fertile Beotia region, passing by charming towns such as Thebes and Levadia. En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of the village of Arachova. Arrive in Delphi and explore the renowned Archaeological Site. Continue the journey to Kalambaka, a small town nestled at the base of the awe-inspiring Meteora, a complex of striking rock formations rising steeply from the Thessaly plain. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Meteora, where ageless monasteries perch atop towering rocks seemingly suspended in mid-air. Admire the exquisite Byzantine art within these monastic treasures. Depart from Kalambaka and traverse the captivating Thessaly plain, passing through the Valley of Tempi. Marvel at the majestic Mount Olympus, home to the twelve gods of Greek mythology. Arrive in Thessaloniki, Greece's second-largest and most vibrant city. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Begin your day with a visit to Thessaloniki, a city that once rivaled Constantinople in population and prestige during the Byzantine Empire. Explore unique monuments and delve into the glorious Byzantine past at some of the oldest and most characteristic churches in the Christian world. Visit the Museum of Byzantine Culture, honored with the Council of Europe's Museum Prize in 2005. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy the lively center of the city. Indulge in dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Embark on a remarkable journey through historical Macedonia. Start with a stop in the picturesque town of Edessa, famous for its captivating waterfalls. Proceed to Naoussa, where Aristotle's School awaits, offering exceptional beauty and historical significance as the site where the renowned philosopher taught moral and political doctrines to Alexander the Great and the Macedonian youth. Continue to Vergina (ancient Aigai) and explore the unique Museum housed in the Great Tumulus, which covers the royal tombs of Macedonia. Witness the astonishing findings from the tomb of King Phillip II, Alexander's father, and relish the excitement of one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th century. Just a few miles away lies Veria (Biblical Beroea), where you can visit Saint Paul's Bema and take a leisurely stroll through the old Jewish neighborhood and the vibrant market area. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Journey to Pella, the capital of Alexander the Great. Marvel at the exquisite 4th-century B.C. floor mosaics, both in situ and at the new Museum. Continue to the Archaeological Park of Dion, a sacred city of the Macedonians located at the foot of Mount Olympus. After the visit, begin the journey southward, passing through Thessaly, Lamia, Thermopylae (where you can see the Leonidas' Monument), and Thebes, before arriving in Athens late in the afternoon.

Note: For the visit to the monasteries, ladies are kindly requested to wear skirts, while gentlemen are advised to wear long trousers. Clients staying at the coast will depart for their hotels from the G.O.TOURS terminal around 19:15 hrs.
