Explore the captivating contrasts that make Athens a fascinating city with our tour of the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum.
Our guides will accompany you to the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the inaugural modern Olympic Games in 1896 (with a brief stop), as well as the Prime Minister’s residence (formerly the Royal Palace), guarded by the colorful uniformed Euzones, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and Constitution Square (Syntagma).
At the Acropolis, marvel at the architectural wonders of the Golden Age of Athens, including the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and the iconic Parthenon, which embodies the perfect harmony of matter and spirit and brings order to the mind.
Afterwards, visit the new Acropolis Museum, which serves as a fitting home for the many statues and treasures of the classical era. Please note that the program order may be modified due to the visiting hours of the new Acropolis Museum.
Clients staying at the coast will be transported back to their hotels via the Cape Sounion Tour bus.
